Six Scorpene class submarines are currently manufactured at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) for the Indian Navy with transfer of technology from Naval Group.
Barracuda: Naval Group designs and builds the Barracuda, a state of the art and latest generation of strategic submarine for the French Navy dedicated to deal with an ever-growing array of challenges. Through the Australia Future Program, Naval Group will contribute to the delivery of 12 conventionally powered submarines, whose design is derived from Barracuda type submarines.
F21 Heavy Weight Torpedo: The need for having unparalleled performances, while fulfilling the highest enhanced safety rules and standards for French nuclear submarine program resulted in the development of a totally new F-21 Heavy Weight Torpedo by the French Navy. The F-21 Heavy Weight Torpedo development successfully integrates the mastery of aluminium silver oxide technology which allows the torpedo to enjoy higher range and maximum available speed, making it a much more lethal weapon than other available torpedoes. At the same time, its most important and salient feature is that of safety i.e. designed to never explode on-board a submarine even in case of platform being on fire, itself being dropped, or being fired accidentally. Naval Group as a manufacturer, integrator as well as developer of advanced combat management systems of these torpedoes, also undertakes the complex task of seamless integration of this torpedo on-board the Scorpene® submarines.

Patria Nemo Container – Naval Demo conducted successfully
After vigorous test firings in demanding sea conditions Patria Nemo Container on board Fast Supply Vessel (Lätt Trossbåt) was demonstrated in front of military audience on 2.10.2018.
This naval demo of Patria Nemo Container included various firing missions: Firing on the move – both direct & indirect fire as well as diverse MRSI (Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact) fire missions – impressing the audience.
Patria Nemo Container together with the Fast Supply Vessel was performing as expected and the ground-breaking concept of the 20 ft sea container with 120 mm turreted mortar system was proving its ingenuity also as a naval weapon system. It was able to operate as a mobile firing unit, both with direct and indirect fire, thus being ideal for supporting the battle of the coastal jaeger troops / coastal rangers / marines etc. More importantly, Nemo Container proved that it is as mobile and agile as its “brothers” directly integrated onto land (Patria Nemo) or naval platforms (Patria Nemo Navy). Patria Nemo Container was functioning perfectly on board – this time on the Swedish Fast Supply Vessel. Rapid response, accuracy, shoot & scoot, firepower, protection, mobility - all the characteristics of Patria’s Game Changers of the Battlefield were proven. Together with the successful land tests earlier on Sisu E13TP 8x8 off-road truck, these naval tests & demo verified that Patria Nemo Container truly opens a whole new market segment for Patria’s turreted mortar systems.
Patria is an international provider of defence, security and aviation life cycle support services and technology solutions. Patria provides its aerospace and military customers with equipment availability, continuous performance development as well as selected intelligence, surveillance and management system products and services. Patria's mission is to give its customers confidence in all conditions, and the vision is to be the #1 partner for critical operations. Patria has several locations including Finland, Sweden, Norway and Estonia. Net sales totalled EUR 467.7 million in 2017, and Patria employs 2,800 professionals. Patria is owned by the State of Finland (50.1%) and Norwegian Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (49.9%). Patria owns 50% of Norwegian Nammo, and together these three companies form a leading Nordic defence partnership.
